The tension between the United States and Iran has reached a critical point.

According to the intelligence assessment and strategic analysis of Intelli Times, a U.S. military strike against targets of the Iranian regime is expected to occur within just a few hoursIn the first phase, the central objective of the operation will be to halt the mechanisms of repression — both the physical assets and the key individuals responsible for the mass killing of protesters across Iran since late December.
The intended targets include three main components:
First, the regime’s ideological and political decision-making centers — the Guardian Council, the Assembly of Experts, and the Supreme Council for the Protection of the Regime’s Interests. These are the bodies that hold real control over the strategic direction of the Islamic Republic and protect it from any meaningful change.
Second, the command and control system of the Basij forces — the militia tasked with on-the-ground suppression — along with the network of rapid courts and prisons where systematic executions of regime opponents are carried out.
Third, the tactical means that enable daily repression: major security force movement routes, armored vehicles, light weapons depots, and chemical and other crowd-dispersal equipment. The expected operation will be highly precise and focused — aerial strikes, cyberattacks, or pinpoint actions — and will not include, at this stage, direct attacks on nuclear infrastructure or strategic ballistic missile capabilities. The declared goal is to disrupt the regime’s ability to continue mass killing and to send a clear message: the killing must stop.
The key to further developments lies in the Iranian counter-response:
If Tehran’s response remains limited to striking American targets only (such as bases in the Persian Gulf), the current round may end at this stage, with a limited but significant achievement for the West.In contrast, if Iran escalates and launches ballistic missiles toward Israel or carries out significant actions against U.S. allies in the region — this would provide broad international legitimacy for moving to a much more complex and significant second phase: eliminating ballistic missile capabilities, completing the destruction of the nuclear program, and leading the regime itself toward collapse.
Signs on the ground support this assessment:
Partial evacuation of American and British forces from Al Udeid base in Qatar, massive transfers of funds by senior Iranian officials to overseas accounts, reports of target lists delivered to the White House including suppression command centers in Tehran, and repeated statements by President Trump that the U.S. military is “locked and loaded” and ready to act.The situation is currently teetering on the edge of the abyss. The coming hours will be decisive. Everything depends on the final decision in Washington and the initial response that comes from Tehran.
